Further Afield is a non-profit membership organisation that represents independent learning providers in the UK FE sector. We are very experienced in working with Turing Scheme opportunities. Our expert partners have hosted 2,500+ UK students on Turing Scheme projects since 2021 and hope to open 2,000+ further spaces in 2024-25. Join us and get represented by the experts.
Our placement partner’s projects run in Europe and Asia. Their 20 person coordinator team work across a network of over 100 partners.
Our founding team began running projects while studying Chinese at Oxford University, so the network has a unique China focus!
For graduates of UK FE providers that would consider TEFL or international school teaching abroad, the world is truly their oyster. Opportunities for fantastic careers abroad are abundant – we want to point UK FE learners towards these in order to broaden their horizons, build global Britain and support levelling up.
We want to open up global opportunities and access to the Turing Scheme to UK FE providers – large and small! We are well positioned to support our members in obtaining funding from the Turing Scheme and opportunities from our partner project provider. We provide end-to-end support to make the experience seamless for our members.

I would recommend this to a friend who would like to go into teaching as experience wise its a good opportunity to learn about the job. Also it a good life experience to go to a foreign country where English isn’t frequently spoken to improve their understanding of the outside world.
